Arthritis causes swelling and tenderness in joints. The most common symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness. Arthritis symptoms often worsen as you get older. The two most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Osteoarthritis causes cartilage to break down where as Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease in which the immune system attacks the joints.
